Olivia GoodellMS, CCC-SLP

Ms. Olivia Goodell is a Senior Supervising Speech-Language Pathologist and Research Manager who is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Upper West Side location of New York Neurogenic Speech- Language Pathology. Ms. Goodell has extensive experience working with both the adult and pediatric populations and has worked in numerous clinical settings such as inpatient rehabilitation and private practice. She has a passion for providing individualized care for all of her patients to promote their ability to communicate in their everyday lives.

Her clinical experiences include the evaluation and treatment of articulation, phonological, language, neurocognitive, motor speech, voice, swallowing and fluency disorders. Ms. Goodell is LSVT LOUD® and  Guardian NMES® certified clinician. She has taught in several New York City universities alongside Ms. Barrera. She has a passion for providing individualized care for all of her patients to promote their ability to communicate in their everyday lives.

Ms. Goodell also has a love for research and has participated in research analyzing the variability of children’s speech sounds which was presented at the 2012 Florida State University NSSLHA conference. In addition, she was part of the research team that measured the duration of stutters for the development of the TOCS: Test of Childhood Stuttering. She is the co-author of a case study titled “Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy in the treatment of hypernasality following traumatic brain injury” which was presented in November 2012 at the American Speech and Hearing Association’s (ASHA) annual conference.
She is a graduate of Florida State University’s School of Communication Science and Disorders where she earned her Masters of Science.
